What good thing happened?
Two new health clinics were built in Southern Sudan, and a third is under construction. Together they’ll help to save the lives of thousands of newborns, for generations to come.
We recently introduced supporters to Adele and Jennifer, the first set of twins to be born in the safe surroundings of a new clinic.
How did it happen?
The Good Agency worked with Save the Children to build on their successful capital appeal strategy. We made 2011’s bigger and better, with a more ambitious target. We created separate high-, standard- and low-value propositions. As well as raising money from existing supporters we extended the ask to lapsed givers and new people. So as well as building clinics, Save the Children have built their supporter base too.
The warm appeal beat its target by over £150,000 and acquisition approached break-even. Clinics built. Children Saved.
