Save the Children appoints The Good Agency to keep donors loyal
Posted on: May 20th, 2010 by Kim Keegan
Save the Children, the world’s independent children’s charity, has appointed fundraising and campaigning specialists The Good Agency to develop direct marketing activity for recruiting and retaining regular giving donors, and inspiring legacy gifts.
The agency won the account following a three-way pitch. The win follows the appointment of Matthew Sherrington, who joined The Good Agency from EveryChild as Strategy Director earlier this year. Matthew has over 20 years experience in the charity fundraising sector, including 14 years with Oxfam International and four years with Greenpeace.
Susan Davidson, Supporter Development and Innovation Director, at Save the Children says, “We were looking for a strategic partner to work with us to improve our supporters’ experience. From the start, The Good Agency stood out due to their fresh and creative approach to the brief, which we hope will maximise our impact upon children in 2010 and beyond.”
Matthew Sherrington, The Good Agency, adds, “We are delighted to be working with Save the Children and supporting their recruitment and retention drive. This project is an excellent opportunity for us to deliver an engaging experience for the charity’s valued supporters.”
