Matthew Sherrington joins us as our new Strategy Director

We are pleased to announce that we have snapped up Matthew Sherrington as our new Strategy Director. Matthew has over 20 years marketing and leadership experience in the charity fundraising sector, including 14 years with Oxfam International in a variety of roles and four years as Fundraising Director for Greenpeace in the USA. At Greenpeace he turned round a long-term decline with a 35% growth in donors and income over two years as a result of a strongly supporter focused strategy. He will leave his role as Director of Fundraising and Communications at EveryChild to join us full time at the end of the year.

This will be Matthew’s first agency role. He describes the appeal of The Good Agency as “A meeting of minds, the understanding of a shared vision and a passion for the same things”.

For our Director of Innovation Alan Clayton, the appointment is an important step in the positioning of the agency as a pioneering thought leader in the UK charity fundraising sector. He says; “We are delighted that Matthew is joining us to strengthen our team and work with our clients to create effective, innovative campaigns. We look forward to adding his particular brand of strategic magic to our client offering.”

For Matthew the idea of working with more than one client, with different challenges and objectives, is exciting.
