A bit of National news

Our PR team took a little trip to the National Theatre the other day. We’ve been working with the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) – a fantastic organisation and the UK’s largest provider of adult education – to raise its profile following the success of stage play The Pitmen Painters. Written by award-winning playwright Lee Hall, the play tells the story of a group of miners who attended a WEA art course in the 1930s and went on to receive critical acclaim for their work.
A group of current WEA art students were invited to meet Lee Hall, with an exclusive backstage tour providing the opportunity to meet some of the actors. Of course, we invited a photographer along too, and the resulting shots have been sent out to all of our lovely media friends.
