Charity branding is changing. Consumer brands are becoming more ethical in nature and charity brands are becoming more commercial, and even entertaining. To celebrate the launch of the new best practice report Branding Inside Out we renamed October Brandtober and invited you to join us to debate the current trends in branding, within the charity sector and beyond.
This morning, our very own Dan Dufour presented the top ten current trends, including the shift to integrating branding with fundraising (presentation 1, below). James Holloman, Business Leader at Green & Black’s, brought a lot of chocolate with his experience of growing a global ethical brand whilst staying true to a brand’s heritage inside a multinational (presentation 2, below). Then Sam McAllister and Charlotte Webb from Cancer Research UK talked us through how they connect individual and corporate supporters to their vision of curing all cancers through the flagship fundraising event Race for Life brand (presentation 3, below).
