This October Cancer Research UK, the UK’s leading cancer charity, is working with fundraising and campaigning communication specialists The Good Agency to launch a daring new campaign to Frock Breast Cancer in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Good Agency was commissioned by Cancer Research UK to collaboratively develop a new fundraising event to cut through the pink mist of breast cancer fundraisers. The agency created the bold event identity ‘Frock Breast Cancer’, recruitment and fundraising materials. Its tongue in cheek proposition asks fun loving young women to ‘dress to kill breast cancer this October’. The Good Agency also worked with Cancer Research UK to create their Shine event identity and communications and continues to bring established fundraising event Race for Life to market for the second year running.
Cherie Chambers, Senior Marketing Manager, Volunteer Fundraising and Sports Team, at Cancer Research UK said:
“Every hour around five women in the UK are told they have breast cancer. But the good news is that, thanks to our work, more women than ever are surviving the disease. We needed to create a unique event and identity, one with attitude and The Good Agency excited us with their strategic approach and brave creative.”
Chris Norman, Director, The Good Agency said:
“It’s always a pleasure working with Cancer Research UK and this has been a great opportunity to create something different and exciting. We look forward to seeing how Frock Breast Cancer helps Cancer Research UK to stand out from the crowd in a very pink October”
Everyone taking part will receive a ‘handbag’ fundraising pack containing everything they will need to Frock Breast Cancer including a purse full of fresh ideas on how to fundraise, posters to help spread the word and of course information on how far your donation will go towards the fight against breast cancer.
