- Are you building a site with user interaction?

Are you building a site with user interaction? Comments? Personalisation? User generated content? If so, then starting from scratch, and asking users to complete long registration forms, may not be the right way about it. Unless data capture is the goal of the site, and if content creation and engagement are, then allowing users to [...]

Hay all,
Just got back from the V&A….What an inspiring place!!….wanted to stay there for the rest of the afternoon!!
Find below the link to what Maggie’s team was involved in. It’s a Bench Press by Sebastian Wrong & Richard Woods. They designed in American tulipwood from The American Hardwood Export Council.
It was very interesting to hear [...] - Sometimes it’s better not to know.

We had a fantastic five-hour session with a new client last week.
This was prefaced by an induction where they told us what they knew.
It was a very short induction.
This is a relatively young charity with a new and (by their own admission) somewhat inexperienced team. They have very few donors, and know almost nothing about [...]Read more | Posted in Our Blogs, Reuben's blog
- When you buy a bottle of water, are you buying the water or the bottle?

- Posted on: September 29th 2009 by Reuben Turner
-
It’s an interesting question. We’ve all been conditioned to think that the water in the bottle is what we’re paying for.
Actually, it’s the bottle that’s the expensive bit – making it, getting it to you, and disposing of it afterwards all cost you money, either at point of purchase or through your taxes. (Did you [...]Read more | Posted in Our Blogs, Reuben's blog
- Something kind of wonderful

The missing out on something is rarely used in a positive context, so I often wonder whether the fact that I don’t fill my every waking hour reading blogs, tweeting, posting my opinions on various notice boards, updating my status on various social and business networks or signing up to join a plethora of forums [...]

Dear Mr & Mrs Microsoft
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the bizarre mother-futon creation that is Internet Explorer 8 http://bit.ly/4a3Mhf
If you have not already downloaded IE8, it is acting like a new browser – ie. a browser that does not retrospectively morph sites built for any previous iteration [...] - Branding in Black and White.

Last Saturday while walking down the King’s Road – as you do – I saw a Black and White whisky ad on a London bus side. Quickly followed, in true bus fashion, by another with the same ad.
Wow I thought, a new retro style ad for Black and White whisky.
The ad featured the iconic faces [...]Read more | Posted in Jeremy. The Naked Eye, Our Blogs
- The giant panda

So I read in the Guardian that Chris Packham thinks we should leave the giant panda to die out. Fighting talk and, thankfully, the fight is taken up by Mark Wright of WWF (or ‘the WWF’ as The Guardian puts it, maybe to differentiate it from the wrestlers?). Good on you Mark.
Chris argues [...] - I’m a happy little Vegemite

I love Vegemite. Well, I am Australian after all. I despise Marmite and have found myself becoming an active campaigner for Vegemite in the ‘Vegemite versus Marmite’ debate. I’ve even joined the ‘Vegemite on Toast’ Facebook Group which currently has 46,817 members.
As Oscar Wilde said, “There is only one thing in the world worse than [...] - Not so strictly, please.

11.45am. The creative team are in early to present some concepts for a campaign lobbying the Government demanding that Arlene be reinstated to the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel.
Everyone: OMG, wow. I’ve never seen anything like it. These are totally going to make people sit up and take notice
Account Manager: Yeah – amazing stuff, really [...]
